Jesma’s tailored solution for precision and real-time invoicing needs
![]() |
Euro-baltic, located in Rügen, Germany, confronted a crucial challenge: How to optimize herring weighing directly from the cutter while ensuring instant and accurate invoicing? They had a demand for weighing accuracy within +/-0.5% and the need for real-time monitoring of incoming kilograms to facilitate invoicing. This intricate requirement was met seamlessly through Jesma’s tailored solutions, all integrated via a ProfiBus communication interface. Jesma proposed the implementation of a specially adapted JesBelt A weigh feeder. This unique version was engineered to handle fish and ensure precise measurements. A crucial challenge was the excess water accompanying herring directly from the cutter. Jesma ingeniously integrated a draining belt into the JesBelt-A design, and therefore it effectively eliminates excess water before the actual weighing process. The devised weighing solution seamlessly connected to a 1.5-meter display situated at the quay where the cutters docked. By incorporating the Jesma WC9604 weighing indicator, Eurobaltic effortlessly captured and registered crucial data within their superior system. Effective communication and strong collaboration facilitate a smooth approval process for purchasing and sales transactions. In navigating the intricate landscape of regulatory approvals, Jesma’s expertise shone through. The JesBelt-A solution needed to adhere to strict purchase and sales regulations, aligned with OIML R-50 and PTB standards. Jesma’s proactive approach initiated a dialogue with the German Metrology Institute, “Eichamt Rostock,” upon Eurobaltic’s request. To ensure a smooth approval process, Jesma’s technicians played a pivotal role in running-in procedures and verification of the weigher, culminating in a successful first attempt at regulatory approval.
