FLSmidth Cement enhances precision with Jesma pneumatic transport and weighing system.
Jesma Weighing Solutions has successfully delivered a pneumatic transport and weighing system to FLSmidth Cement’s R&D Center Dania in Denmark. A project that combines technical precision and a close collaboration.
The journey began in April 2023, when Jesma received an inquiry from Karsten Jacobsen at FLSmidth. What followed was a process resulting in a complete weighing and dosing solution tailored to the needs of FLSmidth’s cement research facility.
The system transports cement pneumatically from a big bag via a vacuum blower, moving the material vertically 15 meters and horizontally 6 meters to the upper floor. From there, it enters a Jesma Loss-in-Weight system, which doses the material into the client’s process with high accuracy and repeatability.
The setup is delivered with a fully integrated HMI system, designed to communicate seamlessly with FLSmidth’s existing control infrastructure. Jesma’s team designed and configured the entire solution, which was assembled and tested at Jesma’s workshop prior to delivery. The system is now installed and operational at FLSmidth’s test rig. This serves as a clear example of cross-functional collaboration and technical execution.
